John Okinyi

John is a licensed clinical and public health practitioner with over two decades of experience in health systems strengthening, project coordination, and community health interventions. He currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Global Fund TB Control and Prevention Project funded by Amref Health Africa, overseeing operations in Kisumu, Nyamira, and Kericho Counties.

At OLPS, John provides strategic leadership in the implementation of TB programming in line with national priorities and donor standards. Under his guidance, Kisumu County emerged as the most improved in TB management in 2023, while Nyamira County ranked second and third nationally in 2023 and 2022 respectively.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with IT from Maseno University and a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery. His work is grounded in a deep commitment to community health, quality assurance, and equitable service delivery. He brings to OLPS a wealth of expertise in stakeholder engagement, research coordination, capacity building, and program design.
